Shiny Leaf Beetle

Asphaera lustrans

Description:

Very shiny green abdomen, with reddish orange head, legs and antennae. Eyes were darker. Very small, about 10 mm in length.

Habitat:

Spotted on my front porch on a planter box full of Rudbeckia sp. I had just removed from the flower bed.
