Greater Grasshopper

Description:

A large grasshopper (Acrididae) which looks like a locust. This species is among the largest grasshoppers in Borneo, this one being at least 6cm. They can fly much further than those smaller grasshoppers but are much rarer.

Habitat:

In plants that suited it.

Notes:

This grasshopper is a visitor because we don't have this species living around here. As you can see it's last pair of hindlegs are gone. I can assume that it was captured earlier by young children and got it's jumping legs removed to prevent it from escaping. >>>Map accuracy : 250m diameter.
