Mountain Bluebird

Sialia currucoides

Description:

An overall blue bird. I think this was a juvenile male because it's colors aren't right for a female but it isn't blue enough to be an adult male.

Habitat:

They inhabit rangelands and meadows in the western US. We saw a whole flock of them in a mostly mesquite area, but all the nice blue males were too far off for me to get good pictures of.
