Adult Description Large shorebird. Long legs. Long, upturned bill. Black-and-white upperparts. Rusty or gray neck and head.
Shallow fresh and saltwater wetlands.
It was thrilling to see these birds so far from their summer range. They only stayed a day, but got lucky enough to see them.
