Circus macrourus
The Pallid Harrier is a stunning medium sized raptor. The male (pictured here) is pale grey with dark grey wings and yellow eyes and beak. The female is more similar to other harrier species with a brown body.
Undertakes a yearly migration, breeding in southern Europe and central Asia and wintering mainly in Asia and South-East Asia. This species is now classified as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
