the grand duke

Budo budo

Description:

With 75 cm high, the Grand Duke is the largest owls in Europe: it is twice its congener the Long-eared Owl. Described as aristocratic, her figure is massive, his head stuck two large orange-red eyes surmounted by plumes of about 8 cm (normally horizontal and slightly bent backwards), the bird stands upright s it is excited or disturbed. Remember that these egrets play no role in the hearing. Mimic the branches, its plumage is reddish-brown above, spotted and striped with dark brown. The underside is lighter, tawny with streaks longitudinal and transverse stripes of dark brown. Weights and Measures: Weight: 2 to 2.5 kg for males and 2.5 to 3.3 kg for females; Length: 65-75 cm; scale: 160-188 cm1. Voices: "Boohoo" or "ouhouhou-or-ouhouhouhouhou" (hence its Latin name, Bubo bubo) audible from afar, and all sorts of other noises. Longevity: more than 20 years in the wild and some more than 28 years in captivity. Flight: Grand Duke has an agile flight and quiet despite its size because it has like most nocturnal of downy plumage, very flexible, which allows it to fly silently. In flight: it is easily recognizable by its large, leaning on his great wings long and wide well by detaching the head rather pointed, short tail

Was it a hot day because his position looks much like the birds in Florida who are too hot and holding their wings out.

It is more proper to put both of your pictures of the same subject on the same page. I would put this one first as the main picture. You can put up to 4 or 5 on a page.
