Heliophorus brahma
Garden hedge. There are lots of bushes and forests around the place.
I saw this and some other saffires basking that afternoon in my in-laws' garden hedge. I was observing that some of them appeared to have very bright golden patches on their wings, only to disappear the colour when I approached with my phone camera! After some more attempts I realised that the direction of the afternoon sunlight falling on the wings made the difference! Got this maximum golden hue when the butterfly was facing the sun straight ahead! Gently approached it from behind and started clicking with my Samsung Galaxy S3 15cm (6') above it!

What a beauty! Lycaenidae, maybe Heliophorus brahma?
