Description:

Neptis morosa, the Savanna Sailer, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Senegal, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, the Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic, Angola, the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Burundi, western Kenya and north-western Tanzania.

Habitat:

The habitat consists of moist areas and forest margins.

Notes:

Butterflies of the genus Neptis are commonly called Sailers or Gliders for their characteristic sailing or gliding in flight. And also known for their distinctive pattern- white bars and spots on black wings. They are impressive in flight.
