India Pond Heron (Juvenile)

Description:

Small heron, cream to brown speckled appearance, more solid brown on the back. Straight long beak, yellow and black. Yellow around the eyes and long yellow legs and feet.

Habitat:

Seen on large rock in the splash zone of a large waterfall in rainforest mountains.

Notes:

First when I saw this heron I thought it was a different species. But after identifying the one seen on the coast, I realise this is a juvenile of the same India pond heron. It looks quite different at first impression.
