Soft and fleshy, easy to bruise when touching it, little droplets of water oozing out, orange-brownish on top, whitish underneath.
On a recently downed tree, on the underside of recently uprooted root mass near Great Hill, Central Park.
Weird how soft it was, like warm cheese.
