Burara harisa harisa Moore, 1865
A small low-lying town by the side of a river and surrounded by sal forests.
I spotted this butterfly trying to escape from inside a hotel glass gate at a small town called Jorethang in South Sikkim, which is situated across Rangeet River separating Darjeeling District tea estates (West Bengal) and Sikkim.
Thanks James. You hit the bull's eye! I feel it's the correct identification. Thanks once more.
How about Burara harisa harisa Dr. This has same coloration right down to the 2 little black dots
Thanks Jellis. This one looks very much like the one in the ref. But still confused among Orange Awlet, Branded Orange Awlet; Bibasis jaina jaina, B. oedipodea athena, Burara harisa consobrina . . . .Pl help.
Thanks James McNair for the lead. But pl verify again. This one doesn't match with the specimen in the ref.
definitely looks like a Awlet species. Almost like the Orange Awlet (Burara harisa consobrina) with the abdomen like a Pale Green Awlet Burara gomata
