Paper Kite

Idea leuconoe

Description:

This butterfly wingspan is about 3.5 inches wide. It was 2 inches long. The color of its wings are white and black. Its head is black with some tiny white specks on it. The body is white, with a black line on it. Also, it has a pair of antennae and 6 sticky legs.

Habitat:

I found this butterfly clinging on a flower at the Butterfly Garden in Changi Airport. The temperature in there was quite cool and moist. Even though the garden is indoors, it was a bit sunny, because the ceiling allows sunlight to pass through. The time I found this in was at 3:56 P.M.
