Long-jawed Spider

Tetragnatha sp.

Description:

Large, robust chelicerae. Brown - orange brown body color. Long slender legs.

Habitat:

Residing on the underside of leaf on a sheet web. Cattana Wetlands, QLD.

Notes:

Tetragnatha sp. On the same plant there were a few color morphs or a few different species? Any help with species name would be appreciated. Protecting an egg sack. On closer investigation it wove a sheet web above the surface of the leaf. If it moved away from the egg sack, it walked upon its web.
