Ruddy Turnstone

Arenaria interpres

Habitat:

rocky shores, but also sand beaches and mudflats

Notes:

A long ways from home! It nests on rocky arctic shores. This adult in non-breeding plumage is just passing through. Most likely flying back from the Caribbean islands or maybe the north east coast of South America.
