Spider & cicada stand-off

Araneae Vs Hemiptera

Description:

Mini stand-off. The cicada moved very slowly towards the spider, and then held its position. The spider stood its ground in the ready position, front legs forward and poised. They stayed in this position. I decided to leave them to it. Who do you think would win the battle?

Habitat:

The stand-off took place on a leaf arena, in the Wildman River district in the Northern Territory.
