A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
The plant was about 27 cm tall, with buttress roots. It did not bear any flower or fruit. The interesting thing about this plant is that rather than the branches having a opposite leaf arrangement, the plant itself had leaves in an opposite arrangement. The leaves were lanceolate green, 16 cm long, and 2 cm wide. The leaves were smooth, glossy, and surprisingly not soft. The bark was smooth, thin, and weak.
This plant was found in the Singapore American School secondary rainforest. I found this plant at the rainforest floor, among the shade of the broad trees, in a cool and safe atmosphere.
