Description:

Alternate common names: Topaz-spotted Blue, Topaz Blue Afrikaans common name: Hemels-bloutjie Most common South African Azanus.

Habitat:

Widespread over almost all of South Africa. Like other Azanus Blues, the larva feeds on Acacia species.

Notes:

Flight period: Continuous broods from Sept–May in cooler areas; in warmer areas, year-round, peak late summer.
