Description:

This appears to be one of the coral or club fungi, just not sure which one. The base appears to be white, but it turns to a yellowish-orange at the tips.

Habitat:

Growing on decaying leaves in a southern deciduous forest (midlands of South Carolina).

Notes:

Maybe Clavulina sp. or a similar genus.
