Vanessa vulcania
Vanessa vulcania is an species present in the Canary and Madeira Islands where is endemic, flying in all islands except desertic lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Its main habitat are humid closed valleys, popularly known as "barrancos" where they can find their larval hostplant, some species of Urtica , this year seems to be very positive because is fairly common.
