Sonoran Sidewinder

Crotalus cerastes cercobombus

Description:

A small adult female, typical coloration for this species.

Notes:

We got a call early in the morning with a report of a snake in a pool, and to my surprise it ended up being a sidewinder! They're usually not found at homes, so this was a treat. It was captured and relocated, dripping wet, to nearby desert.
