Pelecanus erythrorhynchos
Very large bird, could see it easily from a far. Large wing span with black on the tips. Also had a "bump" on the bill close to the end away from the eyes.
This pelican was found on one of the lakes in Big Bear early in the morning. It was harassing one of the other birds that had a fish.
I would find the birds huddled together in the mornings in the middle of the lake
