Moth

Description:

This caterpillar is only about 1/2" long. The ants pictured are about 1.5mm long to give you an indication of size.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica 5.5 months into the 6 month rainy season.

Notes:

These are the first good shots I have taken of this moth. I have posted others but none came out as clearly. I have only seen this type of moth/cat on orchids. This one is seen on a monk orchid seed pod.
