Orange femurs and black and white banded tibia and tarsi; a strongly black and white irregularly banded abdomen; ovipositor is robust and abdomen length; long fine antennae with black and white bands; black head and eyes with strongly white outer margins; several thorax white spots; about 30mm long not including antennae.
On eucalyptus bark in parkland.

Welcome to Project Noah Hannah. This is a type of wasp in the bark of a gum tree. This female is possibly looking for a spider to plant an egg into. You can see the whole thing if you click on pic 2.
