Congratulations Machi, your Coralline Red Algae is our Spotting of the Day:

"With jointed chains of segments reminiscent of backbones, this Coralline Red Algae (Corallina sp.) is our Spotting of the Day! Corallines are hard, calcareous reef building red algae. Red algae (division Rhodophyta) owe their red color to light capturing pigments called phycobiliproteins".
