Southern ringneck snake

Diadophis punctatus punctatus

Description:

approx. 8 inches long

Habitat:

spotted on site of greenhouse on riverfront property

Notes:

This little fellow was uncovered by workers demolishing an old greenhouse. The hands are my friend's; and this was the first snake she's handled...on purpose.
