Spiny Orbweaver Spider

Gasteracantha diardi

Description:

Small in size, around 1 cm width, back is red in colour and tips of spines are black. Tip of spines on the side has bluish tint on the underside. Not sure, but could be from the genus Gasteracantha.

Habitat:

Tropical forest

Thanks, @ChunXingWong for the ID, and yes indeed, without lighting, this Spider looks all black in colour.

Yes. It is a Gasteracantha diardi. Under the sunlight it looks black but under a strong camera flash it turns red.
