Description:

Common chicory, Cichorium intybus, is a perennial herbaceous plant of the dandelion family, usually with bright blue flowers, rarely white or pink. It is one of the commonest Greek herbs and it is used in boiled salads, recipes with meat and traditonal pies. Spotted in Makrynitsa village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
