Firecrest

Regulus ignicapilla

Description:

This is a very small bird hardly confused because of its characteristic coloration. It is similar to goldcrest but with a preeminent supercilium, a black eye stripe. This bird is a male because it had an evident orange crest and it was also trying to "impress" a nearby female.

Habitat:

I found it near a residential area which was quite surprising
