Darien harvest mouse

Reithrodontomys darienensis

Description:

This is an endemic species of Panama, relatively small, and not so common. I confirm the ID with a expert in mammals from the tropics, almost 2 year after I get te picture. Walking along a remote area of the Patiño reserve, i found this little mouse that climbs a small bush and for almost 2 minutes it was looking at me, not nervous at all actually very curious, I get some few pictures even a selfie.

Habitat:

Rainforest, and fields
