Mallards/Mlakarice

Anas platyrhynchos

Description:

On the 1st picture you can see female mallard (brown with little blue feather), on 2nd male mallard (with a glossy green head and grey on wings and belly). On 3rd you can see male sneaking to female, on 4th female with little ducklings and on last all familiy together on a pond.

Habitat:

You can find them throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and also in New Zealand and Australia.

Notes:

I didn't know whether to split this spotting, because I have so many seperate pictures of each and they're all so beautiful and charming. In Slovenia they all flee away from you, but these ones posed to me! :)
