Scarce Swallowtail

Description:

There were quite a few of them flying around, most of them never rested, but this one wasn't quite energetic and flew only if disturbed to find another resting spot. This is the only butterfly species I saw in the park, I think because of the season as there should be many more.

Habitat:

Rocky cliffs right in front of the sea.

yes you're both right then :) they must be very very fast I was so sure I was taking pictures of the same specimen!

Hi Adriano! I agree with Marta that on the last picture you have Papilio machaon. Here's what the underside of Iphiclides podalirius looks like (in particular, look at the length of the tails and the extension of the black bands across the forewing):

Here also, I think the last pic could be of an Old World Swallowtail (Papilio machaon)?
