Eastern Cottontail

Sylvilagus floridanus

Description:

One of the 3 rabbit species we have in Oklahoma, and this one was on the smaller side.

Habitat:

In the middle of a small lot that we own across the street from my house. Pretty close to a highway.

Notes:

This rabbit was very tame and let me get several yards away. I've seen rabbits in the area before, but they never let me get that close, nor were that out in the open like this one.
