I was trying to photograph a turkey vulture (Cathartes aura) soaring lazily above my head, when suddenly a Red-tailed Hawk appeared from seemingly no where and dive bombed the vulture, who then beat a hasty retreat. The hawk then did a victory lap above my head before disappearing once more.
