Hymenocarpos lotoides

Description:

Flowering plant in the legume family, Fabaceae. Iberic-magreb endemism. Annual herbaceous plant with 40 cm. erect stems. Basal leaves are simple, intermediate ones are irregularly pinnate and the superior ones with 5-7 elliptic folioles. The inflorescence has 3-11 flowers. The flowers can be up to 2 cm big. The corolla is bigger than the calyx, yellow-orange coloured. The fruits are 2 cm long, cylindrical, with 7-12 seeds.

Small prairie in dipersed Holm oak forest
