Charadrius semipalmatus

Description:

This was the first plover of any kind I have seen, and they are incredibly adorable! A small bird with a brown head and back and white underparts. There is a single, black collar around the neck, and black across the forehead that extends over the eyes. The bill is orange with a black tip.

Habitat:

There were two of these guys hanging out with the killdeer at the local park.
