Grove snails are in so many different pattern and color combinations so most likely it is a grove snail. Only in my garden there are about 10 different variants but don't know how is their distribution in Croatia. Check this link there is a nice photo with all the combinations, http://molluscs.at/gastropoda/terrestria...
Thank you for helping, but I'm not sure that I have ever seen this with yellow ...probably some Cepaea sp. but will have to search again....actually I have a list of all species in Croatia and haven't still found it, must be some special variation ;)
I hope you have not given up on getting an ID on this beauty yet :) When I was scouting the Internet for crane flies I ran into this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grove_snail... and remembered your spotting... I think its close (but no cigarr)
Thank you Sckel, I am just realizing that too ;) before I wasn't paying so much attention on them cause they are mostly small range from 0,5-1 cm and from a bigger distance they all look alike, but I guess macro resolution can discover and bold their charm ;)
