Red-shouldered Hawk (nestling)

Buteo lineatus

Description:

You can just barely see one of the brown wing of one of the parents in the nest as it is feeding the nestling. Whatever it had caught, it would bend its beak down and rip it out so the nestling could gobble it down.

Habitat:

Spotted in a tall pine tree in my backyard.
