Black vulture

Description:

Black bird with a height standing a 28 to 32 inches from ground to top of head. Head is without feathers and of a grey color with very wrinkled flesh. Feathers appear to be black when at a distance but are actually black with a touch of red. Highlights of white toward the under side.

Habitat:

Individual is observed on a daily basis in a commercial dock area behind restaurants. Eats the left over seafood that is in the trash dumpsters.
