Green iguana (adults)

Iguana iguana

Description:

A group of individuals ranging from 4-5 foot in length to the larger of 5 to 6 foot in length for the large male.

Habitat:

This group of iguanas are located on a freshwater canal near major shopping centers. They are living on a bank adjacent to a freshwater canal that flows behind the stores. Although also located near a desert scrub habitat I suspect they are not able to access the area due to their large size and a large fence surrounding it.

Notes:

These individuals are the largest in the area and possibly survived the freezes of 2009 and 2010.
