Description:

cap and stem mushroom with broad white cap about 4 in. diameter, with cracked tan-brown scales radiating from the center of the cap. Gills pure white. Stem broadens to bulb at the base with ring. Bruises reddish brown when handled.

Habitat:

On the ground in grass near hardwood trees in Central Park
