That's the only picture I could get. It didnt stick around long enough.

Thanks bayucca, I agree. The large, fuzzy head and thorax initially made me think hummingbird moth, but the wings didn't look clear.

Christine, take a look at the hooked antennae tips and the quite large head, that is typical for skipper butterflies.

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like a Hummingbird Clearwing (a moth). Hemaris thysbe would be the scientific name (Family Sphingidae). Were the wings clear? If not it wouldn't be this. Otherwise, another moth species. Any other photos?
