Tubaria furfuracea
Flat creamish brown caps about 30 mm wide. Gills were a tan colour, free and toothed near margin. Some forking seen. The stipe was slender with a white bloom. It showed some brown staining - ?spores. In the upper third of the stipe was a narrow ledge-like ring with soft fibres above it trapping brown spores ( pic #3). Spore print - light brown
Spotted growing under casuarina trees by a walking track in a nature reserve.
An introduced species. The caps are said to start of yellowish-brown, they faded to a pale yellow as they age.
