Fabulously camouflaged...practically invisible on the dry soil and leaf litter where I spotted them only because they broke cover.

Habitat:

Dry land with some tree cover.

THANKS. These birds shared their habitat with peafowl but I was more excited to see them because I had never seen this species before. Peacocks and peahens are quite common in Delhi...some used to live in and actually dance on my office lawns but these birds (a friend described them as "Rickety-looking") were so new to me that I had to consult a book.
