Description:

This is known to reach massive sizes. This one was quite small in comparison to the sizes this fish can reach. It has a set of quite scary "teeth"and is known to be a ferocious fish...hence the name. No scales. Smooth skin.

Habitat:

Freshwater. it dies when ponds/lakes are dredged...as with this one.

Notes:

In West Bengal and Bangladesh it is called Bo-aal. There are stories about large Bo-aals being cut open to reveal the bangles of a missing maiden.
