Same flower as my previous spotting some time ago when it was still young: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/261... . It has huge silvery buds open to bright purple-red elongated clover clusters in a profusion of color. A magnet for bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies.
Other names: Ornamental Clover, Red Trefoil.
