Description:

Endemic to the Philippines Smallest of all Philippine Woodpeckers. Found creeping up the sides and branches of trees, in pairs, singly or in mixed species flocks. Unlikely to be confused with other woodpecker species.

Habitat:

Common in lowland and montane forests and edges.
