Purple-crested Slug Moth

Adoneta spinuloides

Description:

A beautiful moth in the family Limacodidae, Adoneta spinuloides might be my favorite slug moth!

Habitat:

Deciduous/coniferous forests, attracted to light.

Notes:

Lifer! Big thanks goes out to Hugh McGuinness for correcting me that this moth is not Euclea delphinii, but rather Adoneta spinuloides.
