Buff Ermine

Spilarctia luteum

Description:

Found this little white moth on a when I moved the brick I use the hold the garage door open. I included a picture of the whole brick to give a good idea of scale. He was incredibly furry and had lovely creamy white wings which I've never seen in a moth. I have recently moved from Norfolk to Suffolk and I'm used to seeing brown moths, since I've been in Suffolk however I've seen many lovely ones, including this one. He was speckled on his body as well, to match his wings, but I couldn't get a picture of this without disturbing him. If anyone could identify him this would be great, thanks :)

Habitat:

Suburban garden, sleeping on a brick.

I agree with both Telse and Jopy, go into "Edit this spotting" and and drag the first picture across into one of the other positions so that 2 shows off to its best.

Hi Selina beautiful Moth. A small suggestion... your 2 photo is gorgeous.
Show your Moth in all it's glory and maybe put that one first.
