One of Europe's most exotic-looking birds. This one was building its nest by digging in the sand (better seen on the second picture). This shows remarkable versatility since they're known for using holes on walls or trees as nests.

wow pedro,great series,i love this bird and i have some spotting taken last year in the back of my back yard in a grass field,but i never saw one on the sand in a beach,amazing these guy's are adapted to all kinds of habitats,very nice spotting,congrats and thanks for sharing
