Faredin-please do interrupt any time-it was really cool to read your argument with Jopy. Thank you both so much for these interesting suggestions. I never thought I could look up butterfly like that! :)
haha I know, all butterflies species have a lot shade of color patterns.
I'm just kidding! you can interrupt whenever you want! :)
butterfly identification is suffer? :D
Ohh no, sorry but yea i also looked at those black dots and think like you but aparently they can be in many different tones. I was also struggling with those large and small butterfly identifications so I thought shouldn't let others suffer as well but next time I stay silent :)
Faredin, thank you :D I have professional deformation, you ruined my way of teaching, hahaha I tried to lead her into that answer and suggest her to take attention on black pattern...now, problem solved :))))
Girls, when identifying from these photos you will need to look at the black margin on the wing tips. If that black mark extends downwards then it's the large white and if not then it's the small white. You can check on this link about that black mark: http://butterfly-conservation.org/48-413... but jopy is right. It's he big white :)
P. mannii has brighter black spots on wings and it's more greyish on underside of wings, it could be A. rapae or P. brassicae, I prefer P. brassicae for that black spots and for black margin on forwings...decision is on you :D
I've looked at it better and I think you're right, Jopy! Whilst searching for it, I came across "Pieris mannii" butterfly-do you think it could be possible it is the one, especially because I've found this one near see-side?
P.brassicae has light yellow underside of hindwings and black margins on upperside of forewings, as I can compare with flower, this butterfly is bigger than A. rapae...
hei Jopi! are you sure? can those be in light yellow colour?
hi, Ursula, it looks like Pieris brassicae, Large white..
